Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Manuel Belgrano Square to welcome you and talk about the origins of this emblematic neighbourhood of Buenos Aires.

First, we'll visit the Museo de Arte Español Enrique Larreta, which tells the story of a historical figure married to the daughter of one of Argentina's richest heiresses. This former Argentine minister built a small Alhambra with furniture from Spain's Golden Age, Andalusian-Moorish design and architecture, and a garden that resembles an oasis in the middle of the desert.

Afterward, we'll show you the commercial street that matches the neighbors' lively pace: the Avenida Cabildo. Along Arribeños Street, we'll tell you about the Argentine beliefs and idiosyncrasies, and stop in front of the Zurich confectionery, where Hector Alterio and Norma Aleandro's film La tregua was shot.

Next, we will leave the traditional Hispanic Christian area behind and enter the modern world of Asian K-pop in Bajo Belgrano, the birthplace of the Excursionistas football club. In this part of the neighbourhood, poverty abounded rather than wealth. You'll discover why on this tour!

We'll cross the imposing Welcome Arch, a symbol of Chinatown, decorated with dragons and vibrant colours, and we'll stop to admire murals by artists such as Martín Ron. This area is also popular because it's home to many small restaurants and Taiwanese, Chinese, and Korean bazaars.

Afterwards, we'll walk along the pedestrianised Via Vai, a modern corner dedicated to alternative gastronomy. Continuing towards Juramento Avenue, we'll enter the Barrancas de Belgrano Park, one of the seven hills of the Argentine capital that stretches down to the river. In this urban park, we'll find peculiar monuments, among which the replica of the Statue of Liberty stands out.

Finally, at this last spot, we'll say goodbye after a 2.5-hour tour.
