Saudade Cemetery Guided Tour

At the indicated time we will meet at the entrance of the Saudade Cemetery in Campinas to kick off our unique exploration of this historic site, often referred to as an architectural museum.

Established in the late 19th century, the cemetery features over 3,000 traditional tombs and remarkable works of art. You’ll notice how the layout of its streets and buildings mirrors that of Campinas itself—pretty intriguing, right?

As we stroll through this necropolis, we’ll share stories about notable figures resting here, including Barão Geraldo de Rezende, Francisco Glicério, Bento Quirino, and Hercules Florence. 

Take time to appreciate the intricate details of the tomb architecture and the artistic tributes dedicated to these illustrious personalities. We’ll also delve into the rich folklore and cultural legacy that has shaped Campinas over the years.

Then, after 3 hours of exploring this incredible site, we'll bring the tour to an end.
