Syria 7-Day Tour Package

Day 1: Damascus

Once you have landed at the airport in Damascus or Beirut, whichever you prefer, we'll take care of the entry formalities and transfer you directly to Damascus. Once at the hotel, you'll have the rest of the day free to relax and start exploring the Syrian capital at your leisure.

Day 2: Damascus

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend the day visiting this impressive city. We'll start with the National Museum of Archaeology, where we'll discover much of the history of human existence.

We'll continue on to Al-Azem Palace, where we'll get a good idea of the customs of the Damascenes. Afterwards, we'll visit the Mausoleum of Saladin and the Great Umayyad Mosque, one of the most impressive buildings dedicated to Muslim worship.

We'll also visit the historic Straight Street, the Chapel of Saint Ananias, Saint Paul's Window, and we'll finish with a stroll through its impressive souks. Then, we'll head back to spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Damascus - Palmyra - Homs - Al-Mishtaya

After breakfast, we'll depart for Palmyra, known as the capital of the desert. Its ruins are spectacular and feature some of the finest monuments in the area, such as the Temple of Bel, the triumphal arch, the great colonnade, the agora and the theatre. We'll also visit the tombs.

After the visit, we'll continue to Homs to visit the old city. Finally, we'll travel to Meshtaieh, a small village near Krak des Chevaliers, where we'll stay overnight.

Day 4: Krak des Chevaliers - Homs - Apamea - Serjilla - Aleppo

Having enjoyed breakfast, we'll begin our visit to Krak des Chevaliers, a castle declared a World Heritage Site for being one of the best preserved from the Middle Ages. We'll tour its different rooms and recall the important role this fortress played during the Crusades

Our route will continue to Homs to see its famous wooden waterwheels, devices that still function today to raise water and allow irrigation. Next, we'll head to Apamea, an ancient Greek and Roman city, where we can see the ruins of the Temple of Zeus Belos with its large colonnade.

Finally, we'll travel to Serjilla, one of the best-preserved Byzantine "dead cities", which flourished between the 5th and 7th centuries AD, and then continue on to Aleppo, where we'll stay overnight.

Day 5: Aleppo - Simeon Stylites - Aleppo

We'll start the day by refuelling with breakfast, followed by a visit to Aleppo, one of the oldest cities in the region and a key point on the trade route between the Mediterranean and the Euphrates. We'll visit the Citadel, considered one of the largest and oldest castles in the world.

We'll take a tour of the exterior of the Great Mosque, one of the most notable examples of Umayyad architecture, and visit the renovated part of Aleppo's old covered souk.

In the afternoon, we'll depart for the Church of Saint Simeon Stylites, known as Qal'at Sim'an, a 5th-century Christian church. After a panoramic tour, we'll return to Aleppo to stay the night.

Day 6: Aleppo - Maaloula - Damascus

On the sixth day, we'll have breakfast and make our way towards Maaloula. This small village is famous for its houses carved into the rock and because its inhabitants still speak Aramaic, the ancient language of Christ.

After the visit, we'll continue our journey to Damascus. Once there, you'll have some free time before heading to the hotel for your accommodation.

Day 7: Damascus
