Exploring the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum’s several floors packed with art is fascinating, as it includes masterpieces by European geniuses. The gallery’s nearly one thousand paintings include works by Italian and Flemish artists like Piero della Francesca, Tiziano, Van Eyck, Rubens, and Rembrandt. You’ll also find Impressionist paintings by Monet, Degas, and Renoir. The Thyssen also houses gems by Van Gogh, Munch, and Cezanne. You'll also marvel at the vanguard artists' pieces of art, such as Picasso, Paul Klee, Kandinsky, and Chagall.

Located in the Villahermosa Palace, the Thyssen also displays twenty-first-century American paintings. This is a unique and fascinating collection! 

Opening Times

  • Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am - 7 pm
  • December 24 and 31: will be open until 3 pm
  • Closed: December 25, January 1, and May 1
  • Temporary exhibitions can be visited on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 9 pm

You have to exit all rooms 5 minutes before the museum closes.
