Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the indicated meeting point in Malaga city. From there, we'll move towards one of the most impressive gorges of the province. Are you ready to discover the landscapes of the Caminito del Rey?

During the journey, we'll cross the Alcaparaín mountain range, where we'll see extensive orange groves and several Andalusian white villages. We'll make a 30-minute stop in the village of Ardales so you can stretch your legs or have a snack on your own—what better way to start the day?

Next, we'll take a hike along the Caminito del Rey from the northern access located in Ardales. During the hike, which takes between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll cross a spectacular footbridge—did you know that it was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1925? During the hike, we'll also enjoy the Guadalhorce reservoir and descend the most famous staircase of the Caminito del Rey.

As well as that, we'll gradually discover the geology, wildlife and spectacular landscapes that surround us. The footbridge, suspended almost 105 m (344 ft) above the Gaitanes Gorge, will offer us incredible panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. Be sure to take a photo! We'll also stop at the most outstanding viewpoints to take photos and learn some fun facts about this place.

After enjoying the Caminito del Rey, we'll say goodbye to this beautiful place, and start our way back to the starting point, where we'll conclude this day trip of between 7 and 8 hours in total.
