Salinas & Yanaorco Lagoons Day Trip + Lojen Hot Springs
At 6 am, we'll meet you at your hotel or on San Agustín Street and hit the road. During our journey, we'll make a stop in the town of Mariano Melgar so you can have breakfast on your own.
We'll then get to the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, which is home to the Misti, Pichu Pichu and Chachani volcanoes. With fantastic views of these imposing volcanoes as our backdrop, we'll come to the Salinas Lagoon and its wetlands and salt beaches.
Nearby, we'll see fauna endemic to this area such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and flamingos, as well as some other migratory bird species. We'll also visit the Moche Salt Flat, where we'll play with perspective and take some beautiful photographs.
Our next stop will be at the Lojen Hot Springs. Here, you'll have some free time to relax and take a dip in its medicinal waters, which have a temperature of between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius.
Afterwards, we'll move on to the San José de Uzuña Dam, a fantastic feat of civil engineering in which the Yanaorco Lagoon is located. You'll also have some free time here to have lunch, explore the area and take a kayak ride.
After an unforgettable day, we'll return to Arequipa and drop you off at your hotel in the city centre or the Plaza de Armas between 4:30 and 5 pm.
