Bordeaux Tour + Dessert Tasting
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Place de la Bourse, one of Bordeaux's emblematic spots, to embark on a delectable journey through the streets of this French city. Let's go!
We'll start our tour by seeing the Miroir d'Eau, a water mirror reflecting the entire square, creating an optical illusion that will leave you in awe. Cameras at the ready!
From this iconic square, we'll stroll through the narrow streets of the center, admiring the elegance of its buildings. Soon after, we'll reach Rue Saint-Catherine, Bordeaux's main shopping street, which we'll pass to take a glimpse at its boutiques and shops.
We'll then arrive at Place Camille Jullian, one of Bordeaux's liveliest squares. This square is the hub of local social life, with residents gathering in its many outdoor bars and restaurants. Here, you'll see the Église Saint-Siméon, which has now become a cinema and cultural center, before heading to Place du Parlement, an Italian-style square with a beautiful 14th-century fountain in the center. Do you know why it's called that? You'll find out on this tour!
After admiring the square, we'll head to the most photographed spot in Bordeaux, La Grosse Cloche. Then, we'll go to the Bordeaux Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste three typical local desserts, such as the famous cannelé (pastry flavored with rum and vanilla with a soft and tender custard and a dark, thick caramelized crush), a dune blanche (pastries filled with pastry cream and whipped cream), and a Saint James (a delicious soft almond, orange, and rum biscuit). We'll also take a short break for a coffee and a croissant. What more could you ask for?
Our tour will conclude next to the Cathedral after approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
