Brindisi Boat Ride
Boat Ride Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Port of Brindisi, where a speedboat will be waiting for us to start this journey, where we'll see some of the most emblematic places in the city from the water. Let's set sail!
First, we'll head toward the Castello Alfonsino di Brindisi, a 16th-century fortress that rises over the islet of Sant’Andrea, which seems to guard the entrance to the port. Close by is the Forte a Mare, one of the most important defensive bastions in Brindisi.
We'll continue the boat ride toward the Monumento al Marinaio d'Italia, a giant rudder standing at 173 ft (53 m) tall that dominates the bay of Brindisi and honors sailors lost at sea. From the boat, you'll enjoy the privileged views of this imposing structure.
Afterward, we'll sail past the Castillo Suabo de Brindisi, also known as the Castello di Terra. This medieval fortress, commissioned by Frederick II, rises in the heart of the port and showcases the historical power of the city during the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
We'll leave the urban center little by little to head to the open sea, where a small archipelago of the Pedagne Islands awaits. These six islands, natural guardians of the bay of Brindisi, make up a landscape of remarkable beauty and ecological importance.
Finally, after enjoying the scenic views, we'll start our journey back, where we'll say our goodbyes after 1 hour of sailing.
