Corinth Canal Cruise
Boat Ride Through the Corinth Canal
At the indicated time, we will meet at the meeting point to board the boat that will take us through the waters of the Corinth Canal. Everyone on board? Let’s go!
We'll set sail and begin navigating the Corinth Canal, a 1.5-hour journey on a glass–bottom boat that measures 17 meters (55.77 feet) in length.
Throughout the journey, we will learn about the history and importance of this spectacular artificial canal that links the Gulf of Corinth with the Aegean Sea. Did you know that it is one of the most important waterways for maritime transport in Greece?
You will learn fun facts about this place, built between 1881 and 1893 by the Hungarian engineer István Türr. It became one of the greatest engineering works in history.
We will end our journey by returning to the same place we started.
4-hour Cruise
If you want to extend your route through the Corinth Canal, we recommend selecting the 4-hour option. In this case, after completing the previous itinerary, we will head toward the Saronic Gulf, an area with calm waters and great historical significance. We will pass the port of Kenchreai, the heart of ancient Corinth, and where, according to tradition, Saint Paul arrived to begin his evangelization in Greece.
The journey will continue past the iconic Baths of Helen of Troy, taking you back to the story of Menelaus, Paris and the Trojan War. After this trip to the past, we will approach Siderona Beach, where you will have the chance to take a refreshing dip in its turquoise waters. If you like, you may use the snorkel gear to discover the marine life of the Aegean waters.
After the swim, we will be waiting on board so you can recharge with a buffet lunch accompanied by wine, soft drinks and water. With renewed energy, we will continue sailing through the Corinth Canal, making our way back to the starting point.
4 hours later, we will disembark and conclude the boat ride at the meeting point.
