Chernobyl and Pripyat Private Day Trip

Depending on the time you have available in Kyiv, you can choose one of the following excursions to Chernobyl and Pripyat. Both trips include a private English-speaking guide.

1 day trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat

We will leave Kyiv and head in the direction of Chernobyl and Pripyat, where we will visit the most important sites in both cities. In the exclusion zone, we will encounter the Chernobyl nuclear power station, the sarcophagus of reactor 4, the epicenter of the nuclear tragedy. We then go to the abandoned city of Pripyat, the place where the workers of the Nuclear Power Plant live with their families. We will visit the most emblematic places such as the abandoned amusement park, hotels, and schools. We will follow an itinerary similar to that of the trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat.

2 day trip Chernobyl and Pripyat

We will leave Kyiv first thing in the morning and head for Chernobyl. There we will visit the nuclear power plant, as well as the monument dedicated to those who suffered the horror of the environmental disaster. We will visit Pripyat and its amusement park, as well as abandoned hotels or schools.

After spending the night in a hotel in Chernobyl, we will have the opportunity to talk to the inhabitants who stayed to live in the area. We will tour the rest of the nuclear power plant, such as the energy blocks, the cooling towers, and an abandoned radiobiological experiment base. We will also visit the Duga radar, the Russian secret military station located in Chernobyl. We will follow a similar itinerary to the 2-day trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat.

Is it safe?

Our routes are designed in accordance with the necessary radiation safety standards, which reduce the effects of radiation on the human body to a minimum. The radiation received when visiting Chernobyl during the day is approximately equivalent to that received on a 2-hour flight in an airplane.
