How to Get from Puerto Williams to Ushuaia

Ready to travel to the End of the World? This activity is the most comfortable way to reach Ushuaia from Puerto Williams. We’ll depart from O'Higgins 187 in a comfortable minibus, traveling along the coastal road that connects Puerto Williams with Puerto Navarino, covering 55 kilometers (34 miles) along the Beagle Channel.

During the journey, you’ll enjoy impressive views of snow-capped mountains, subantarctic forests, and the landscapes of Tierra del Fuego, where nature reveals its wildest and purest side.

Once in Puerto Navarino, it’ll be time to board the boat for the crossing of the Beagle Channel, the legendary passage that separates the islands of Tierra del Fuego. As you sail across its icy waters, you’ll see islands, glaciers, and Andean peaks that define this remote and breathtaking environment.

After approximately 2.5 hours of navigation, we’ll arrive in Ushuaia, the gateway to Antarctica. Upon arrival, you’ll complete the immigration procedures to enter Argentina.

Finally, we’ll say our goodbyes at 470 Av. Prefectura Naval Argentina after a total of 4 hours of travel.

What to Do in Ushuaia?

Ushuaia is the perfect starting point to discover southern nature at its finest. You can visit Tierra del Fuego National Park, ride the End of the World Train, sail along the Beagle Channel to Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, and get close to sea lion and penguin colonies.

In the city center, you’ll also find the Maritime and Prison Museum, craft shops, and restaurants where you can taste the famous Fuegian king crab. If you’re into adventure, there are plenty of options: kayaking, hiking, or skiing at Cerro Castor, the southernmost ski resort in the world.

Ushuaia awaits you with its unique blend of wild nature, history, and hospitality at the End of the World!
