Recife & Olinda Tour
Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll begin the tour by visiting Olinda, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. Surrounded by palm trees, coconut trees, and the Atlantic Forest with the sea as a backdrop, the city offers truly unforgettable landscapes.
In Olinda, we'll visit centuries-old churches such as the Monastery of São Bento, stroll along Rua do Amparo, famous for its artists' workshops, explore Largo da Misericórdia, and reach the highest point in the city, Alto da Sé, which offers panoramic views stretching to the horizon.
Next, we'll head to Recife Antigo, the neighborhood where the city literally began. We'll disembark at Arsenal Square, the second most important square in the area.
In Recife Antigo, we'll have the chance to visit the Pernambuco Embassy, where we can learn more about the diverse culture of Pernambuco's carnival, and Rua do Bom Jesus, voted by a North American magazine as the third most beautiful street in the world.
On this street, we'll find the Embassy of the Giant Puppets, home to the famous giant figures that bring joy to the Pernambuco carnival, as well as the historic Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, the first synagogue in the Americas.
We'll then continue to Praça do Rio Branco, better known as Marco Zero Square. Here, in addition to its beautiful architectural ensemble, we'll enjoy a panoramic view of the Francisco Brennand Sculpture Park, a true open-air museum.
We'll also visit the Pernambuco Handicrafts Center, which showcases an extensive variety of artworks created by master artisans from the state.
Finally, we’ll return to the pickup point approximately 7 hours later.
