Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and drive to Sítio Burle Marx, located 50 km southwest of Rio de Janeiro.
This magical place emerged from the imagination of the master of modern landscaping Roberto Burle Marx, whose avant-garde style has become a true emblem of Brazil.
Burle Marx wanted to unite his personal style with cubism and abstractionism, two of the most prominent artistic movements of the 20th century, and the result was this beautiful set of gardens with flowers and exotic plants.
As we walk through the grounds, we'll learn interesting aspects of the life and work of the Brazilian architect. We'll also visit the house of Burle Marx and his collection of popular art.
After an hour and a half visit, we'll make our way to a cachaça distillery. Here we'll learn about the production process of this typical Brazilian liquor, and you'll be able to buy a bottle of handmade cachaça to take home as a souvenir.
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel, where we'll arrive around 5 hours after initial pickup.
