Namsan Cable Car
Want even more experiences high above Seoul? When making your reservation, you can choose the option that also includes a round-trip ticket on the Namsan Cable Car. In this case, you’ll board at its platform at 83 Sopa-ru in the Jung district and ascend in a cabin that takes you up to Mount Namsan and Seoul Tower.
The cable car has been operating since 1962 as the first transport of its kind in South Korea, offering a ride suspended between the past and the futuristic skyline. Did you know it was created as a symbol of modernization during the country’s reconstruction? From inside, you’ll watch the city unfold, contrasting the mountain landscape with the modern tower. The outbound journey lasts approximately 3 minutes and reaches a height of up to 138 meters (453 ft). Don’t forget your camera!
Opening Hours
Seoul Tower is open at the following times:
- Monday to Thursday: from 11 am to 10 pm
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: from 11 am to 10:30 pm
Please note that the last entry is 30 minutes before closing.
The Namsan Cable Car operates daily from 10 am to 11 pm.
