Meicin Valley Snowshoeing Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time in the recreational area of Tuiza de Arriba to start this snowshoeing tour through the Vega del Meicín. Are you ready to spend a fun winter day? Here we go!

We'll leave this beautiful Asturian village, located at an altitude of 1230 metres (4035 feet), following a path that leads to a mountain refuge. Depending on the amount of snow, we'll put on our snowshoes a few minutes after leaving, and it's time to slide down this white blanket!

We'll pass several huts with cabins and the imposing presence of the peaks of Las Ubiñas in the background. Depending on the state of the snow, we'll be able to extend the route by climbing up to the Mollás Valley to get great views of the Vega del Meicín and its mountains.

Time to recharge your batteries! We'll reach the Meicin refuge to enjoy a breathtaking view while we take advantage of the stop to fuel up with lunch and a hot drink. From there, we'll start the descent to Tuiza between large snow-covered meadows.

Before we know it, we'll have reached the point where we started our snowshoe walk. We'll finish 3 hours after the start time. See you next time!
