Leyenda del Páramo Winery Visit
Visit Details
How are León wines made? To find out, we'll meet at the indicated time at the shop of the Leyenda del Páramo winery, located in the outskirts of the town of Valdevimbre.
We'll start the tour by visiting the winery's vineyards. As we walk through them, we'll talk about edaphology, the science that studies the nature and condition of soil with respect to plant growth. We'll also learn about the history of the Leyenda del Páramo company and discover the wine tradition of this area in the province of León.
Next, we'll visit the winery's facilities. Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the different phases of wine production while we tour the barrel cellar, the bottling room and the laboratory.
Finally, we'll conclude this 1.5-hour visit with the tasting of 2 wines: a centenary prieto picudo red wine that has spent 9 months in a barrel called El médico and a dry white wine made from white albarín called El aprendiz.
If you visit with minors, when you make your reservation you can choose a drink for them. If you choose this option, the children accompanying you will be able to drink mineral water or must, to be chosen at the time of the tasting.
