Barranquilla Museums Guided Tour
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla and begin this tour of the main museums of the capital of Colombia’s Atlántico Department.
First, we’ll visit the Romantic Museum, created to preserve the history of Barranquilla. Through objects donated by local residents, you’ll understand how the cultural identity of this city has been shaped.
Next, we’ll take you to the CLENA Museum. Located in the iconic former customs building, this space explains the city’s urban past and how it projects its development into the future.
You’ll continue exploring the city at the Atlántico Museum, the former headquarters of the first city hall from the early 20th century. Today, it houses a large art gallery that tells the story of the Caribbean region through works by young local talents.
After that, we’ll take you to the Museum of Modern Art, where you’ll discover an avant-garde artistic approach that addresses current social issues such as the importance of the environment and the impact of global warming.
Finally, you’ll immerse yourself in the heart of Colombia’s biggest celebration at the Carnival Museum. This place illustrates the importance of the dances and pre-Hispanic traditions that remain alive in the cultural life of the people of Barranquilla.
We’ll end the tour by dropping you off at the starting point after 4 hours of activity.
