Tour Details

We’ll start our bike tour of Guatapé at the Main Park square. After welcoming you, we’ll give a brief historical introduction and assign you your bikes. Do you already have your helmet fastened? Time to start pedaling!

The 16 km (10 mi) route, of intermediate difficulty, will first take us through the historic center and the modern area of Guatapé. There, we'll be surrounded by tapial and bahareque façades, colorful balconies, and especially the famous zócalos, a visual heritage that makes this town truly unique.

Riding between hills and some challenging climbs, we’ll reach the Balcón de los Dioses. This is a viewpoint and an ancient indigenous cemetery from which we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the town and the Guatapé reservoir.

We’ll continue cycling toward the Benedictine Monastery of Santa María de la Epifanía, where we’ll admire its architectural simplicity. This place contrasts with the surrounding exuberance of nature, which will serve as a backdrop as we enjoy a freshly squeezed orange juice.

Before heading back, we’ll visit the Piedra del Peñol. From its most photogenic angles, we’ll learn about the geological and cultural history of this monolith.

We’ll wrap up the tour by cycling back to the Main Park, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 3.5 hours.
