Delight your senses with this audio-guided tour of the University of Wrocław Museum, a Baroque building steeped in history and art that will make you fall even more in love with this Polish city. You'll be amazed!

Explore the University of Wroclaw

We'll meet at the Fencer Fountain at the University of Wrocław at the indicated time. Are you ready for what awaits you inside? It's truly wonderful!

With your audio guides, you can explore the museum, located in the university's most important building. Its interior was decorated in a distinctly Baroque style under the orders of Emperor Leopold I of Bohemia. The main intention was to create a school dedicated to philosophy and Catholic theology.

During your experience, you can stop and admire the various works of art that decorate the rooms and corridors. Did you know that the University of Wrocław was home to 10 Nobel Prize winners?

Of course, you can visit the Aula Leopoldina, the largest room in the entire building. This place is a jewel for Poland, as it's the only secular Baroque space in the country that has been preserved in such good condition. You'll love the illusionist paintings, its decoration and its sculptures!

During the tour, the audio guide will explain the importance of the Austrian legacy, the Jesuit College and the Counter-Reformation to the institution. The self-guided tour will also take you through the Oratorium Marianum and the Imperial Staircase box.

Of course, you can't miss out on the Mathematical Tower, where the exhibition space of the University of Wrocław Museum is located. To get there, you'll have to climb the Imperial Staircase and, once at the viewpoint, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the city. You'll be in one of the most outstanding astronomical observatories of the 18th century!
