At the time of your choice, we will pick you up at your hotel in Kathmandu. Then, we will set off on an enjoyable one-hour drive to Dakshinkali, a picturesque village located south of the Nepalese capital.
We will start the tour with a stroll around the town. Its privileged location gives us exclusive views of the most famous Himalayan peaks in the distance, such as Manaslu and Dorje Lhakpa. And if the day is clear, you will even see the silhouette of the mighty Everest.
Then, we will visit the Dakshinkali Temple, a sacred shrine dedicated to Kali, the four-armed goddess. At the entrance to the shrine, we will see how the worshippers sacrifice animals such as roosters, ducks, goats, and even buffaloes.
There, we will also discover some Hindu customs and traditions linked to the cult of the goddess Kali. To learn more about these rites, we will see how the followers use various bells and colorful ceremonial necklaces.
Four hours after starting the tour, we will return you to your hotel in Kathmandu.
