Ready to walk along the walls of the Los Gaitanes Gorge? To get started, we'll meet at the designated time at the El Kisko restaurant, located on the shores of the Guadalhorce dam.
After a brief introduction, we'll hop on a shuttle bus that will take us to the North Access Visitor Center of the Caminito del Rey in just 20 minutes. Once we arrive, we'll gear up with safety helmets and begin walking this spectacular trail, an amazing network of walkways suspended 100 m (328 ft) above the ground in the heart of the Los Gaitanes Gorge Natural Area.
Along this route, which will be in a small group of no more than 8 people and takes about 2 hours, we'll enjoy beautiful views of the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir and the Sierra de Huma Mountain Range. We'll also talk about King Alfonso XIII, who inaugurated this set of walkways in the early 1920s, later restored for tourist visits in 2015.
Finally, we'll reach the South Access of the Caminito del Rey, and from there we'll take the shuttle back to the meeting point, wrapping up this activity of approximately 3.5 hours in total.
