Sergipe River Boat Ride + Folk Show
Activity Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Aracaju, we'll leave the urban bustle behind and head to the port. There, the cangaço boat will be waiting for us under the northeastern sun. Let's get started!
We'll board the boat and begin sailing along the Sergipe River, a waterway that reveals green banks dotted with mangroves and small riverside houses. When you least expect it, we'll make a 50-minute stop so you can take a swim or simply enjoy the views. Did you know this river was one of the historic routes that drove the development of the state?
We'll continue sailing toward the neighboring Pomonga River, where the atmosphere will become even more magical. Soft, enveloping music will play, like a prelude to what's to come.
Suddenly, actors dressed as cangaceiros will appear, bringing with them the untamed spirit of the northeast. They'll interact with us through laughter, stories, and scenes that evoke the life of the cangaço, the movement that shaped Sergipe's cultural identity.
If you take the boat ride in the afternoon, you'll witness a magical sunset, with fiery reddish tones painting the river. Then, it'll be time to sail back, enjoying a different perspective of the waterway. You'll never want it to end!
Finally, from the port we'll return to your hotel, where we'll say our goodbyes 3.5 hours after pickup.
