Coffee Region 8-Day Café con Aroma de Mujer Tour
Tour Details
Day 1: Armenia
Welcome to the heart of the Coffee Region! Upon arrival at El Edén International Airport, we’ll be waiting to take you to your accommodation in Armenia, where you’ll spend the first 2 nights. Are you ready to feel like the main characters of Café con aroma de mujer?
In the evening, a very special surprise awaits you: a themed welcome dinner, the “Gaviota Night.” With a setting inspired by the telenovela, Andean music, and yellow flowers, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal while tasting coffee and aguardiente, the region’s most emblematic drink. The perfect start to an unforgettable experience.
After dinner, we’ll take you back to your accommodation to rest.
Day 2: Armenia
After breakfast, we’ll fully immerse ourselves in the world of the famous telenovela by visiting a real coffee farm. Here, we’ll walk through the coffee plantations to learn about the life cycle of the plant, and you’ll be able to take part in a symbolic coffee cherry harvest, just like Gaviota.
Then, we’ll discover the entire production process, from pulping to artisanal roasting. Can you smell it? It’s the unmistakable aroma of coffee. After a break for lunch, we’ll finish the visit with a specialty coffee tasting, where we’ll learn to distinguish flavors and aromas.
For groups of more than 15 people, the day will end with a theatrical performance inspired by characters from the series. If there are fewer participants, you’ll have the rest of the day free in Armenia.
Day 3: Armenia - Salento - Valle de Cocora - Salento
On the third day, we’ll visit one of Colombia’s most iconic landscapes. In the morning, we’ll take a journey of around 40 minutes to Salento, where we’ll walk through the colorful streets of this town, known for its traditional architecture. Photo opportunity!
Next, we’ll head to the Cocora Valley. We’ll walk along a trail surrounded by towering wax palms, Colombia’s national tree, which seem to reach the sky. There, in addition to learning about the cloud forest ecosystem, you’ll have the opportunity to symbolically plant your own wax palm and contribute to the preservation of this landscape.
Finally, we’ll take you to your accommodation in Salento so you can have dinner and rest.
Day 4: Salento - Filandia
After breakfast, we’ll travel for around 40 minutes to Filandia, another highlight of the Coffee Region. This picturesque town is known for its colorful houses and artisan workshops. There, we’ll walk up to a 27-meter (89-foot) high viewpoint offering 360-degree views of the Coffee Cultural Landscape.
You’ll also enjoy a tasting of traditional desserts, such as arequipe with figs, accompanied by coffee. We’ll end the day by arriving at your hotel in Filandia.
Day 5: Filandia - Montenegro
The fifth day is focused on fun and adventure. After breakfast, we’ll visit the National Coffee Park, a combination of culture, nature, and attractions. You’ll be able to explore its themed trails, visit the interactive museum, and enjoy rides such as the roller coaster or cable car, which offer views of the coffee plantations.
Lunch will be included, so you can recharge your energy. At the end of the day, you’ll also be able to watch a folklore show featuring music and dance that presents the history of coffee and the traditions of the Coffee Region, inspired by Café con Aroma de Mujer.
Before leaving, you’ll have some time to shop at the park store, and then we’ll continue to Montenegro, where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 6: Montenegro- Pijao - Córdoba - Montenegro
Today, we’ll discover a more traditional side of the region. After a 1-hour journey, we’ll arrive in Pijao, known as the “Slow Town” of Colombia. We’ll walk through its quiet streets, have lunch, and learn about its history and sustainable lifestyle.
We’ll also talk with local coffee growers, who will share stories about coffee production and invite you to taste high-altitude coffee. In the afternoon, we’ll travel for around 30 minutes to Córdoba, where the rural landscape evokes scenes from the story of Gaviota and Sebastián. You’ll enjoy another coffee tasting while taking in the views.
Finally, we’ll return to your accommodation in Montenegro.
Day 7: Quimbaya - Termales - Quimbaya
After breakfast, we’ll head to Quimbaya to visit the iconic Casa del Árbol viewpoint. From this elevated structure built around a large tree, you’ll enjoy 360-degree views of the Coffee Region. A great moment for photos.
Afterward, you’ll have time to relax. You can choose between visiting the hot springs in Santa Rosa de Cabal, where you can bathe in natural pools with mineral properties, or going to PANACA, the National Agricultural Culture Park, where you can interact with farm animals and watch educational shows.
At the end of the day, we’ll take you to your accommodation in Quimbaya.
Day 8: Quimbaya - Armenia
It’s time to say our goodbyes to the Coffee Region. You’ll enjoy a special breakfast and, if there are more than 15 participants, attend a farewell performance with local music.
At around 11 am, you’ll check out of your accommodation, and you’ll have time for last-minute shopping or to enjoy the morning before we take you to El Edén International Airport in Armenia for your return flight.
We hope this journey leaves you with unforgettable memories of coffee and the region!
