At the scheduled time, we'll meet at number 13 Largo da Praça do Peixe. Once ready, we’ll wander through the narrow streets of the Beira Mar fishing district, observing daily life in a neighborhood that has always moved to the rhythm of the tides.
We'll stroll through the Praça do Peixe (Fish Market Square), where Beira Mar beats with its most authentic essence. Here, among colorful houses and lively atmosphere, we'll look out over the canals from the Botirões Bridge, watching the traditional moliceiro boats glide across the ria.
Later, by the fountain in the Praça do Peixe, we'll take a short break to understand how life in the district revolved around the water and the old market, reflecting the deep connection between the city and its estuary. With the murmur of the Atlantic in the background, we'll head to a panoramic terrace overlooking the canal, where the landscape will accompany us for the long-awaited oyster tasting.
We’ll explain how oyster farming, now a gastronomic emblem of Aveiro, began as a delicate balance between tradition and sustainability. For centuries, the ria was such a capricious ecosystem that it forced fishermen between the 14th and 15th centuries to reinvent themselves time and time again.
At the table, the chef will guide us through a sensory journey. The freshly opened oysters will release their marine aroma, revealing the essence of this fertile estuary. As we toast with champagne, we’ll watch the fishing district go about its unique daily life.
After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, we’ll conclude the experience on the panoramic terrace.

- Tour with classic tasting: Includes 2 freshly opened oysters, a portion of clams, lemon and shallot vinaigrette, a glass of Brut DOC Bairrada champagne, artisan bread, extra virgin olive oil, and sea salt flakes.
- Tour with premium tasting: Includes 4 freshly opened oysters, a portion of clams, a glass of Brut DOC Bairrada champagne or local reserve wine, dessert of the day, and 2 house shots.
