Day Trip to Nicosia

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ayia Napa and head north towards the capital of the country. The journey will last approximately an hour and a half, during which time an English speaking guide will explain the history of Nicosia and its main tourist attractions.

Once we arrive in Nicosia, we'll visit the Cyprus Craft Center for half an hour. After learning about its history, we'll take a guided bus tour in which we'll tell you about the highlights of the city.

When we arrive, you'll have two hours of free time to visit the old quarter at your own leisure. Some of the main attractions that you could visit include the Venitian walls and the Famagusta Gate at the entrance to the city.

Close by, you could also check out the Liberty Monument, a must-see if you want to understand the wars that took place in Cyprus in the mid-20th century.

If you like contemporary history, you could also visit the United Nations Buffer Zone, a demilitarised area also known as the Green Line. This separates the south of the island from the north of the island. Plus, not far from the Green Line you'll also find Ledras Street, a large shopping street where you could treat yourself to clothes, accessories, jewellery and perfume from international brands.

At 4 pm, we'll make our way back to Ayia Napa.
