Sheki Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 50 Nizami St to leave Baku behind and begin our journey to Sheki. Let's get started! On the way, we'll enjoy a scenic drive through the Azerbaijani countryside.
Once in Sheki, our first stop is the impressive Kanes Palace, a true architectural gem dating back to the 18th century. For approximately 30 minutes, we'll have the opportunity to marvel at its intricate details and dazzling stained-glass windows, as we learn its secrets.
Next, we'll continue the tour by visiting the historic Karvansaray of Sheki. For half an hour, we'll explore this ancient resting place for Silk Road traders, learning about the town's rich trading history and admiring its well-preserved architecture.
Afterward, we'll approach the town of Kish. Here, we'll visit the Albanian church, one of the oldest temples in the Caucasus region. Did you know that it is believed to date back to the 1st century? We'll be immersed in the tranquility of this place and its surroundings.
For a well-deserved rest, we'll stop for about an hour at the Khanland Entertainment Center. Here you'll have free time to have lunch, relax, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding nature.
Before heading back, we'll spend an hour strolling around the center of Sheki. You'll have this free time to explore the streets, shop for local handicrafts and enjoy a coffee.
Finally, we'll drive back to Baku, where we'll arrive after a total of 14 hours of sightseeing.
