Kecak Dance Show in Ubud
The Traditions of the Gods
If you're visiting Bali, don't miss your chance to catch a kecak dance show, one of the most popular shows in Indonesia. Purchase your ticket for an authentic look into the traditional culture of the Island of the Gods!
Originating in the 1930s, this show narrates a story based on the epic poem Ramayana, a famous and sacred text in India. During the show, which takes place in Ubud, we'll watch the story of the monkey god Hanuman helping King Rama to defeat Ravana unfold.
This 45-minute-long ritual dance predominantly features men depicting the story while dressed in traditional clothing, like a sarong, while singing "cak" songs throughout the show. You're sure to be captivated by the dramatization of this story performed with fire!
