Serrekunda, Brikama & Tanji Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin this day trip that will take us to discover the great natural and cultural treasures of The Gambia. Ready for a day trip to Tanji, Serrekunda and Brikama?
We'll hop on a minibus and head to Serrekunda, the largest city in The Gambia. Located just 3 km (1.8 mi) from the large hotel complexes on the Gambian coast, this town is popular for its vibrant streets, which are the best way to get to know the local culture. Ready to explore and visit a traditional market?
Next, we'll head to Lamin Lodge, a wooden complex built on the water, whose main inhabitants are monkeys. Be sure to take plenty of photos! After visiting this iconic place, we'll set off for Brikama. Upon arrival, we'll visit its wooden craft market, where you can buy a souvenir to remember your trip to The Gambia forever.
Once the visit is over, we'll leave you free time to eat at a local restaurant. After eating, we'll head to the last destination of the day. This is Tanji, the largest and most important fishing village in the country. Here, we'll see how the fishermen work and the way of life of their inhabitants. Perfect for finishing off this adventure!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel and end this day trip after a total of 7 hours.
