Utonde River Canoe Ride + Traditional Farm Visit
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet next to the Torre de La Libertad in Bata and, once we're all ready, we'll begin the tour. Ready to learn about local agricultural traditions?
Firstly, we'll hop into a traditional canoe to sail the waters of the Utonde River. Along the way, we'll enjoy the mangrove landscapes, admiring the flora and fauna that live among its roots. Keep your eyes peeled! We are sure to see toucans, monkeys and even snakes crossing the river.
After the canoe ride, we'll get back on solid ground and take a short walk towards the Ndjanmanguila farm. There, a Kombe family will be waiting for us to reveal the secrets of one of the most important ethnic groups in Equatorial Guinea. The members of the family will tell us all about their agricultural work and show us their crops and the tools they use to carry out their work.
To wrap up this fascinating route, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch with them, including recipes made with sugar cane, coconut or mango. Finger-licking good!
Finally, we'll return to the canoe and set off on our return journey. We'll finish the day trip 6 hours later at the meeting point.
