Summer Palace Ticket
This is the simplest option and allows access up to the first gate of the complex (the main park area), but it doesn’t include entry to the inner gardens and pavilions. It’s perfect if you just want a general walk through the landscaped surroundings and the extensive lakes of the Summer Palace.
Summer Palace, Gardens, & Museums Ticket
This is the most complete option for your visit, as it includes the previously described access as well as entry to the main cultural and architectural highlights of the complex. With the combined ticket, you’ll be able to visit:
- The Dehe Garden
- The majestic Tower of Buddhist Incense
- The picturesque Suzhou Street
- The Summer Palace Museum
Opening Hours
The Summer Palace in Beijing is open every day of the week except Mondays. Access times for the different options are as follows:
- Summer Palace Ticket: access from 6 am to 7 pm
- Summer Palace, Gardens, & Museums Ticket: access from 6 am to 3 pm
Ticket Price
Please note that, although the Civitatis price is higher than on the official website, our booking process offers a major advantage: you’ll avoid the lines to buy tickets, which are especially long during peak season. In addition, tickets must be purchased through the WeChat app, which makes buying them more difficult for international travelers.
Visitors Over 60 and Under 7
Children under 7 and adults over 60 do not need a ticket to enter and only need to bring their passports.
