Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll travel for around 1.5 hours to the Silú area, in the heart of the national park. This protected natural space, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the great natural icons of Minas Gerais.
We’ll begin with a 3-hour hike to visit the prehistoric rock paintings of Lapa do Caboclo. After observing these ancient traces of human presence, we’ll continue along the trails to the Mata Seca, Cactus, and Lapa do Carlúcio viewpoints, further discovering the park’s extraordinary archaeological and environmental heritage.
Next, we’ll pause for lunch before heading by road to the Janelão Visitor Center. From there, we’ll set off on another 3-hour walk to explore the caves and rock art of Lapa dos Índios, Lapa Bonita, and Lapa do Boquête.
Finally, we’ll return by vehicle to our hotel in Itacarambi for dinner.

After breakfast, we’ll once again travel to the Janelão Visitor Center for a new hiking route. This 3-hour trek will reveal more of the park’s natural wonders.
We’ll start at the 5 Torres viewpoint and visit the Lapa do Monte Sião cave. From there, we’ll continue to the Mundo Entero viewpoint, where spectacular views of the Peruaçu River canyon await.
Following a lunch break, we’ll embark on another 3-hour hike through the Arco do André area, one of the park’s most impressive natural monuments. We’ll also visit the Lapa do André cave, one of the region’s largest.
At the end of the day, we’ll return to the hotel in Itacarambi for dinner.
