Konorchek Canyon Private Hiking Tour

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Bishkek. There, we'll board a comfortable minibus, with which we'll make a 2.5-hour journey to the Konorcher Canyon.

Once there, we'll start an 8 km (4.9 mi) hiking route, which will take us approximately 3 hours through this privileged environment. Are you ready? The first stage will take us through winding terrain, where we'll be surrounded by immense reddish cliffs that rise majestically in the area. The trail will wind between narrow walls, giving us the opportunity to explore the different nooks and crannies that are created in the crevices.

When hunger strikes, we'll pause at a strategic point to enjoy a picnic consisting of meat, chicken or fish, fried eggs, vegetables or salad, bread, a chocolate bar, fruit and juice. 

Feeling refuelled, we'll continue on and appreciate the geological formation of Konorchek, sculpted over thousands of years. Did you know that this region is also home to the remains of the ancient Segizkhan-Shokny volcano? This is a rare phenomenon in this region of Central Asia. This extinct volcano, whose traces are still visible, will offer us a unique insight into the volcanic period. We'll even be able to observe fossilised shells, evidence of the time when this place was covered by the sea. Impressive, right?

After this expedition, we'll return to the starting point. From there, we'll make our way back to your hotel, where we'll end this adventure after a total of 10 hours. 

Important Info

The hiking trail is moderately difficult, with varied and sometimes steep terrain. You'll mainly be walking on dirt and sand trails, with some moderate slopes. Therefore, you should be in good physical shape and wear footwear suitable for this type of terrain.
