Bioluminescent Plankton Kayaking Tour

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pousada Pérola do Atlântico, where we'll learn how to paddle our kayaks and discover how the bioluminescent phenomenon of the plankton works.

Once ready, we'll be set up to begin paddling our kayaks out amongst the mangroves to witness the bioluminescent plankton in action. We'll begin this night tour from Boca da Barra Beach and, from there, we'll paddle along the course of the Apiã River towards the mangrove forests where we'll be able to see the plankton light up in the dark.

As we paddle along under the moonlight, we'll admire the amazing night-time landscape that surrounds us. We'll also make a stop halfway through the journey so that, those who would like to, can take a refreshing dip amongst the bioluminescent plankton. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Next, we'll enter the darkness of the mangrove tunnel to witness the bioluminescent phenomenon at its most intense. You'll be able to touch the water to see how the plankton light up. You'll feel as though you're in the movie Avatar!

Finally, we'll paddle back to the starting point, where the tour will come to an end after 2 hours.
