Horseback Riding at the Bonito Fazendas

When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following horseback riding tours through the fazendas of Bonito. All these horseback rides, which last between 1.5 and 5 hours, start from a different meeting point and include an English-speaking guide and riding equipment. Fazenda Rio da Prata Tour (1.5 Hours)

After meeting at the indicated time at the entrance of the Rio da Prata, we'll start a peaceful 6-kilometer (3.8 mile) horseback riding tour. On this route, we'll be accompanied by beautiful Creole horses, which stand out for their docile character and great endurance.

During the horseback ride, we'll get to know the way of life of the farmers on the fazenda. In addition, if the conditions are favorable, we'll be able to see various animals that inhabit the region, such as armadillos, deer, anteaters, rheas, seriemas, macaws, parrots, and herons.

Fazenda Estância Mimosa Tour (1.5 Hours)

If you choose this option, you'll ride for 6 kilometers (3.8 miles) through the extensive grounds of Estância Mimosa.

On this route, we'll pass through several pasture areas where we'll see the farm cattle. We'll also enjoy incredible panoramic views of the Serra da Bodoquena.

Fazenda Recanto do Peão Tour (1.5 Hours)

Upon arrival at the Fazenda Recanto do Peão, you'll be greeted by local musicians. During the performance, you'll listen to different viola tunes and hear some old stories of Bonito, from a time when there was no electricity and no paved roads.

Afterwards, you'll enjoy a 5-kilometer (3.11 mile) horseback ride through the estate. This is the most traditional of the three, as we'll be riding in the style of the Pantanal parades, so galloping is not allowed - it'll be a trip back in time!

Formoso River Tour (1 Hour and 40 Minutes)

During this 4-kilometer (2.4 mile) equestrian route, we'll cross the green and extensive pastures of the region. In addition, along the ride, we'll learn about the native species of flora and fauna that stand out in this ecosystem of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.

We'll continue our horseback ride along the Formoso River up to Morro da Piúva. On this hill, we'll make a brief pause at its viewpoint to admire the captivating landscapes of the Serra da Bodoquena, which is characterised by its exuberant nature.

Finally, we'll stop at the Paraíso natural area, one of the most popular areas of the Formoso River. In this stretch of crystal-clear water, you can take the opportunity to go for a swim. If you don't want to swim, you can also try to spot the monkeys and toucans that live in this natural environment.

Fazenda Recanto do Peão Tour + Dinner (5 Hours)

If you want to experience an unforgettable night, this is the option for you. As soon as we meet, we'll start a horseback ride through the Fazenda Recanto do Peão. After touring the farm and learning all about Bonito's past, we'll enjoy a delicious dinner of a traditional barbecue while listening to live music—the best way to spend the evening!
