Lezama Park & National Historical Museum Free Tour
Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet in front of the Pedro de Mendoza monument, in Lezama Park. From here, we'll set off into one of the most historically green spaces in Buenos Aires. Let's go!
First, we'll start walking along the paths, passing by gardens and sculptures that tell the story of the Argentine capital. As we learn about the history of Buenos Aires, we'll uncover how this park, often referred to as the green lung of Buenos Aires, took on different roles in years past. Through various restoration projects, the park is what we know today.
Following this enriching walk, we'll take a 15-minute break to rest and recharge our batteries before heading to our next destination: the National Historical Museum. As soon as we enter, we'll be immersed in a journey through the most transcendental moments of Argentine history.
Exploring each gallery room, we'll see several objects of great historical significance. We'll observe the piano used to play the Argentinian National Anthem for the first time and the sword of General José de San Martín, one of the great heroes of the independence battles in South America.
We'll also see original military uniforms, antique clocks, the first flag of Argentina, and the first lithographic prints made in the country. Each one is an incredible piece of Argentina's storied past.
After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll say goodbye at the museum exit, see you next time!
