Your visit begins with access to the Obelisk, where a short introductory talk will reveal its history, cultural significance, and fascinating details about its construction and role in the identity of Buenos Aires. Then, you’ll take the elevator up to the very top of the monument.
Once at the summit, one of the most striking panoramic views of the city awaits. From its four small windows, facing north, south, east, and west, you’ll admire Buenos Aires from a privileged vantage point over 65 meters (213 feet) above ground. Iconic avenues, historic buildings, elegant domes, and the unmistakable urban rhythm of the capital stretch out in every direction. Each window frames a different version of the city.
The visit inside the Obelisk lasts approximately 15 minutes.
Available Time Slots
When booking, you can choose from different time slots. Please note that your exact visiting time will be assigned and confirmed after the reservation is completed:
- Day ticket at 9 am: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 9 am and 12 pm. Ideal for appreciating the historic details of Avenida 9 de Julio in the clear morning light.
- Day ticket at 12:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 12:15 pm and 4 pm, perfect for enjoying Buenos Aires’ architecture in full daylight.
- Day ticket at 4:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 4:15 pm and 7 pm, allowing you to witness the transition of light over the city.
- Sunset ticket at 7:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 7:15 pm and 8:45 pm. This option is designed for watching the city lights switch on and experiencing Buenos Aires’ vibrant nightlife from above.
