Bukhara Outskirts Private Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Bukhara and we'll head to the outskirts of the city to begin this private tour. Ready to dive into Uzbekistan's fascinating history?
Our first stop will be at the Chor Minor Madrasah. Did you know that its name means "four minarets"? It's one of the most unique buildings in Bukhara due to its striking design. A real hidden gem!
Next, we'll head to Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa, also known as the Palace Like the Stars and Moon. This summer residence of the last emirs of Bukhara, with its blend of Oriental and Russian styles, will captivate you with its luxurious décor and gardens. We'll tell you about the legends surrounding its name and the life of the Uzbek royalty in this palace.
Then, we'll visit the mausoleum of Baha-ud-din Naqshband Bokhari, one of the most important pilgrimage centres in Central Asia. This place, dedicated to the founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order, is a haven of peace where we'll discover the importance of Sufism in Islam and the life of the influential Baha-ud-din.
The tour will continue with a visit to the Chor-Bakr necropolis. There, we'll learn about the history of this ancient cemetery, considered the "City of the Dead", where the remains of members of the Samanid dynasty rest. We'll stroll through the graveyard while we reveal the history of this mysterious place.
Finally, after a tour lasting between 4 and 5 hours, we'll head back to your hotel, where we'll conclude this private tour of the outskirts of Bukhara.
