Vettón Forest of Cabezabellosa Hike
Hike Details
At 11 am, we'll meet at the indicated location on the Carretera de Cabezabellosa to begin this hike, where we'll discover an area in Cáceres considered a Special Area of Conservation.
Between the Sierra de Gredos and the Jerte Valley, we'll find this beautiful oak grove, where the Vettones established their first settlements in the region. On our hiking route along the Vettón Forest of Cabezabellosa, we'll see the remains of the pre-Roman town of Celtic traditions that inhabited the western side of the Iberian Peninsula.
We'll help you understand how the resources of this land were used as we walk under oak, immersing ourselves in the Vettón Forest. You'll listen to the birds singing and admire this charming corner of northern Cáceres and the views of the Jerte Valley and the Ambroz Valley.
Once we finish our hike, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll arrive around 1 pm.
