We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cartagena de Indias at the indicated time to begin our exciting excursion to Santa Marta and Barranquilla, embarking on a roughly 3-hour drive before reaching our first destination.
First, we'll stop at Barranquilla, aka the "Golden Gate of Colombia". As we explore its main points of interest, we'll delve into the city's history and cultural significance. From the vibrant Window to the World monument to the picturesque river boardwalk, we'll soak in the charm of Barranquilla. We'll also strike a pose next to the Barranquilla letters and admire the Pumarejo Bridge.
Next, we'll continue our journey to Santa Marta, the enchanting "Pearl of America". A guided tour awaits us as we marvel at the city's historic buildings, including the awe-inspiring white cathedral, the oldest in South America. Discover the intriguing stories behind the temple and the notable figure laid to rest there.
Our exploration of Santa Marta will then lead us to the Parque de los Novios, home to the statue of Simón Bolívar. We'll delve into the history of the liberator while admiring the exteriors of the renowned Gold Museum nearby.
