Goya Museum Private Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll start our private tour of the Goya Museum in Castres at the main entrance.
Located in a former episcopal palace of the 17th century, the museum houses a large collection of paintings by Francisco de Goya and Lucientes. During the tour, we'll see the main works of the Aragonese artist, among which stand out his Self-Portrait with Glasses, the Board of the Company of the Philippines and the portrait of Francisco del Mazo.
In addition to the genius works on display, the exhibition also houses canvases by other outstanding Spanish painters. We'll view pieces like The Last Judgment by Francisco Pacheco, The Annunciation by Alonso Cano, Philip III as Grand Master of the Order of the Golden Fleece by Juan Pantoja de la Cruz and Martyrdom of St. Andrew by José de Ribera.
During the private tour of the museum, we'll also take a brief tour of other rooms of the permanent exhibition, where we'll see a collection of Spanish sculptures and graphic arts, weapons, and coins.
At the end of the tour, you can stay within the museum to return and visit the rooms or pieces that interested you most. After 1.5 hours we'll bring the tour to an end.
