Castries Waterworks Bird Watching
Activity Details
After picking you up at your hotel, we'll head to the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve. Once we're ready, we'll set off along the trails of this rainforest in Santa Lucía. Can you imagine the rich biodiversity of this enclave? Let's discover it!
We'll start the walk on trails of moderate difficulty and take breaks along the way. We'll take advantage of each break to look up at the treetops, paying attention to the songs and movements between the branches!
Along the way, we'll get to see local birds thanks to the Castries Waterworks' untouched natural environment. Among the species you'll encounter are elegant emerald hummingbirds, Old World flycatchers, Carib grackles, and Ruddy-breasted Seedeaters. If we're lucky, we'll even see the island's national bird, the Saint Lucia amazon. The list is endless! You'll be captivated by the birds' vibrant colors.
We'll also have a well-deserved tropical breakfast while we talk about St. Lucía's vast bird life, which has over 150 species.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point to say goodbye after a 5-hour walk through the rainforest.
