Day Trip to Fortaleza & Itaimbezinho Canyons
Trip Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Caxias do Sul at the scheduled time and head to Cambará do Sul. Once there, you'll have free time to enjoy breakfast on your own and recharge your energy for the day ahead.
Our first stop will be the breathtaking Fortaleza Canyon. In this stunning natural setting, we'll take a hike that will lead us to discover iconic spots such as the Mirante viewpoint, the curious rock formation of Pedra do Segredo, and the Trilha do Tigre Preto. The views of the gorge will leave you speechless!
Next, we'll head back to Cambará do Sul to enjoy a well-deserved break. We'll visit the Costaneira Restaurant, where you can enjoy a buffet-style lunch with delicious typical campeira food at your own expense.
With renewed energy, we'll head to Aparados da Serra National Park to visit Itaimbezinho Canyon. We'll start by walking the Vértice Trail, a low-difficulty route that takes about 3 hours. During the circuit, we'll stop at several viewpoints offering an incredible sense of freedom in front of the towering rock walls. At the end of the walk, we'll stop to look at the model of the park, which helps explain the local geography.
To top it all off, we'll hike the Cotovelo Trail. This is an easy 30-minute walk that will allow us to see the canyon waterfalls from different angles. Get your cameras ready!
Finally, we'll head back and drop you off at your accommodation after 11.5 hours of adventure.
