Activity Details

The boat will depart from one of the docks in the Yuzhong district. Once we set sail, the city of Chongqing will start to light up over the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. Ready for a nighttime cruise?

Soon you'll spot Hongyadong, hanging over the riverbank like something out of a dream. It's a complex of vertical structures inspired by traditional diaojiaolou houses. This one-of-a-kind spot recreates the look of the old commercial neighborhoods built on stilts to withstand the river's flooding.

The cruise will continue under the Qiansimen Bridge, which connects the different levels of the city. From the water, you'll understand why Chongqing is known as the city of mountains. Here, the terrain calls the shots and the architecture follows with its staggered skyscrapers. Before you know it, the famous Chongqing Grand Theater will be right in front of you.

We'll pass by Raffles City, a complex that redefines the skyline with its towering buildings and the iconic Crystal, an aerial bridge stretching over 300 m (984 ft) that seems to float between the buildings.

As we approach the Chaotianmen Bridge, we'll be sailing over the exact point where the Yangtze and Jialing meet, a spot that's been key to river trade for centuries.

Further along, the silhouette of Longmenhao Old Street will remind you of Chongqing's port city past. The buildings in this part of the city blend traditional wooden structures, gray brick walls, and tiled roofs.

Finally, we'll see Nanbin Road and head back to our starting point, wrapping up a 45-minute cruise.
