Atacama Region Lagoons 2-Day Tour

Day 1

Between 7:30 and 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off on our 2-day tour of the Atacama region.

Our first stop will be near the Nevado Tres Cruces National Park, where the beautiful Santa Rosa Lagoon is located. When we get there, we'll learn about the reasons behind its high concentration of salt and try to spot the flamingos and other birds that inhabit this ecosystem. Feeling peckish yet? We'll have a tasty picnic lunch here. 

After discovering the biodiversity of this wetland, we'll move on to another key salt lake in the Atacama Region. This would be the Negro Francisco Lagoon, which is located in a spectacular area.

We'll then skirt a stretch of the Gallina River and return to the surroundings of the Santa Rosa Lagoon. Here, we'll stop at a mountain lodge where we'll have dinner and settle in for the night in our wooden cabins.

Day 2

Good morning! We'll have breakfast at the lodge and then continue exploring the Atacama region. Get ready to see amazing views at the Lamas River viewpoint!

Our journey will take us to the foot of the snow-capped Ojos del Salado stratovolcano, which sits on the Chile-Argentina border. After having a picnic lunch in the area, we'll head to the Verde Lagoon and admire its unique colour. 

From Verde Lagoon, we'll set off back to your hotel and drop you off between 5 and 6 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes 1 night's accommodation in a mountain lodge at the Santa Rosa Lagoon. You'll stay in wooden cabins with bathrooms. Please bear in mind that the bathrooms don't have showers. Your accommodation will include breakfast and dinner.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup and drop off at hotels in Copiapó, Caldera and Bahía Inglesa.
