5-Day Tour Details

Day 1: Damascus

Welcome to Syria! Upon arriving at either Damascus Airport, we'll be ready to assist you with the formalities of entering the country. Afterwards, we'll bring you to a central hotel in Damascus. You'll have the rest of the day off to explore and enjoy the local cuisine.

Day 2: Damascus

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll start the day by discovering the impressive city of Damascus. Our visit will be to the National Archaeology Museum, where we'll learn about the origins of the capital of Syria and we'll recount the different ages of its history through various exhibitions. After, we'll see the Azem Palace, which will help you get an idea of how the noble demascenes once lived.

We'll continue our tour of Damascus at the Saladino Mausoleum, one of the greatest sultans in the Islamic world, and the Umayyad Mosque, one of the most interesting cultural locations in the Muslim world from an archaeological point of view. We'll also tour Right Street, Saint Ananias Chapel and the Window of Saint Paul, in addition, we'll visit the Damascus souks and lose ourselves amongst their stalls.

Finally, we'll return to the hotel in Damascus, and you'll have the rest of the day off to wander and enjoy the local cuisine at your own pace.

Day 3: Damascus - Palmyra - Homs - Al Meshtaieh

We'll start the day by having breakfast in the hotel in Damascus. From there, we'll head to the ruins of Palmyra, declared a World Heritage Site. Ready to visit one of the largest archaeological sites in Syria?

Despite suffering damage in past years, the monumental complex of Palmyra is still well-preserved. We'll see the remains of the Temple of Bel, the Monumental Arch, the Great Colonnade, the agora, and the theater. We'll also visit the necropolis of Palmyra, nestled in the mountains, where we'll admire the different types of tombs.

After visiting the ruins, we'll head west. We'll stop midway to have lunch, and afterward, we'll continue our route toward Homs. We'll visit its old town and citadel, and then, we'll head toward the hotel in Al Mestaieh (Almishtaya), a quaint town near the Krak des Chevaliers (Al-Husn).

You can have dinner at your own pace in the hotel in Al Mestaieh.

Day 4: Al Mestaieh - Krac des Chevaliers - Damascus

After breakfast at the hotel in Al Mestaieh (Almishtaya), we'll start our 15-minute journey toward Al-Husn to visit the impressive fortress of Krak des Chevaliers. This spectacular castle of the order of the Knights Hospitaller, declared a World Heritage Site, is a gem of the Middle Ages full of history.

We'll discover the main mysteries of this fortress and start our journey back to the capital of Syria. We'll stop along the way so you can enjoy lunch on your own. Our route will finish in the hotel in Damascus where we had stayed the first two nights. Here, you can have dinner and rest.

Day 5: Damascus

After breakfast in the hotel in Damascus, we'll bring you to the Damascus Airport with enough time to catch your return flight

If, instead of picking you up at Damascus Airport, you would like us to pick you up or drop you off at one of the following terminals at the end of the tour, you will have to pay a supplement on the day of the activity:

• Transfer from or to the Beirut Airport (Lebanon): US$ 30 per person
