On this hiking activity, we'll conquer the challenging Cambirela Hill, one of the most iconic mountains in the region of Florianópolis. Perfect for adventure-seekers!

Hike Details

We'll meet at the Terminal Rita Maria bus station, in the center of Florianópolis, where we'll depart by bus to the town of Palhoça. This town houses the Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, where you'll find the stunning Cambirela Hill.

During the journey, which will take approximately half an hour, we'll share interesting facts about the region's history, highlighting the importance of preserving this natural reserve. Once we're on the mountain slopes, we'll be ready to begin this hiking adventure in Cambirela Hill.

The route will be 2.48 m (4 km) uphill and downhill, with an elevation gain of approximately 2788 ft (850 m). Although it's a demanding hike, with steep and rocky sections, each step will be worth it once you see the impressive views of the lush Atlantic Forest surrounding us.

Throughout the hike, we'll also learn about the native flora and fauna that we'll see along the way. Once at the top, we'll stop for 1 hour to rest. Here, we'll also take part in a special activity, where you'll write down your thoughts in a notebook, a symbolic gesture that will help you reflect.

Afterward, we'll begin the descent on the same route as the ascent to reach the starting point. Once there, we'll board a vehicle that will take us to the Terminal Rita Maria, where we'll finally say our goodbyes after a total of 8 hours.
