Activity Details

At the stated time, we’ll meet at the entrance of Birotería Gómez to begin this delicious food tour through Santa Tere, one of Guadalajara’s most authentic neighborhoods. Ready to taste the best of tapatío cuisine?

We’ll start the route at this local café, where we’ll enjoy an aromatic coffee accompanied by a lonche, the city’s classic sandwich, made with artisanal bread and filled with traditional stews.

Afterwards, we’ll walk a few meters to the Santa Tere Market, the heart of the neighborhood, to try crispy fried quesadillas filled with traditional stews. We’ll have them with green salsa, cream, and agua fresca.

Our next stop will take us to a stall loved by locals, where we’ll taste traditional goat birria, one of Jalisco’s most emblematic dishes. Its intense flavor and tender texture will win you over from the first bite.

We’ll then continue to another corner of the neighborhood to enjoy barbacoa tacos, juicy and full of flavor, prepared in the tapatío style. After that, we’ll make a stop to try irresistible cueritos tostadas, served with lime and salsa, an essential classic of Guadalajara’s street food.

To finish, we’ll return to the Santa Tere Market, where we’ll end the tour with tejuino topped with lemon ice cream, an ancestral drink made from fermented corn. A refreshing and unique combination that’ll leave you with the best taste in your mouth.

We’ll say our goodbyes here after 3 hours of touring.
