Activity Options

When booking, you can choose between the following options. In both cases, the meeting point is the dock at La Manuela estate, next to the replica of the old Peñol. All tours include admission to the estate and the company of an English-speaking guide during the visit.

Below, you can see the details of each option:

Quad Bike Tour (45 minutes)

After being assigned your individual quads, helmet, and a brief safety briefing, we’ll start the engines to explore La Manuela, the luxurious estate Pablo Escobar commissioned in the late 1980s on the shores of the Guatapé reservoir. Reduced to ruins after an attack in 1993, the estate still retains corners full of history.

During the quad tour, we'll visit the locations that marked the estate's past: the ruins of the main house, the old dock, areas affected by explosives, and several viewpoints. At each stop, we'll reveal stories and curiosities that help you understand life on the estate and its role in Colombia’s recent history

Jet Ski + La Manuela Tour (2.5 hours)

After receiving the necessary equipment and a short introduction to operating the jet skis, we'll begin our journey across the Guatapé reservoir. We'll enjoy the views of La Piedra del Peñol from the water, the cross of the old submerged town, and the surrounding islands, mountains, and estates.

After about 25 minutes on the jet skis, we'll arrive at La Manuela estate, where we'll take a guided tour of its ruins. You'll discover the history of its construction, destruction with dynamite, and transformation into a tourist attraction.

The tour ends with a jet ski ride back to the meeting point.

• Quad bike tours can start any time between 9 am and 5 pm
• Jet ski tours must start between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

Requirements

To drive the quad bike or jet ski, participants must sign a consent form, accept responsibility for any damages, and not be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
