Options
When booking, you can choose between two different tours. Both start at Plaza de Bolívar in Ibagué:
Birdwatching at the Botanical Garden (11 hours)
After picking you up at 6:30 am, we'll head to the San Jorge Botanical Garden, home to more than 200 species of birds. The facilities, which cover over 60 hectares, will surprise you with their abundant vegetation - you'll feel like you are in the middle of the jungle!
We'll also enjoy a snack and a delicious lunch during the activity. The meal will include a meat dish with a side of salad, rice and potatoes, as well as a lemonade or a natural juice.
Birdwatching at Finca La Rivera (12.5 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll meet at 5:30 am and travel to the Combeima Canyon, which forms part of the Los Nevados National Natural Park. You'll be struck by its beautiful green mountain scenery. From here, we'll begin spotting the first specimens of local birds.
Then, we'll visit the nearby farm of Finca La Rivera, where we'll spend approximately six hours touring its grounds and spotting numerous birds. We'll even get to enjoy a ride in its cable car to admire Combeima Canyon from above!
After lunch, which will also include a meat dish with a side and a drink, we'll visit the Spectacled Bear reserve, also called the Andean Bear.
