Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at 15 Union Street. Once gathered, we'll board a minibus and leave Inverness behind to begin a route full of fairytale landscapes.

We'll traverse the rigorous landscapes of the Highlands, one of the most typical postcard-worthy scenes of Scotland. We'll travel along the exciting history of the Highlands, stopping at some of its most outstanding places, such as the Clava Cairns, our first stop.

Just 20 minutes from Inverness and next to the River Nairn, are these burial chambers that will transport us directly to prehistoric times. 4000 years old! If you're fans of the hit series Outlander, you should know that this place was the source of inspiration for Diana Gabaldon when creating the fictional stone circle of Craigh na Dun.

Afterward, we'll head to one of the most beautiful fortresses in Scotland: Cawdor Castle. As soon as we arrive, its beautiful gardens will welcome us, and we'll learn what ties this place to Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth. Did you know that, according to legend, King Duncan made General Macbeth the Earl of Cawdor? As we enter the castle, we'll review its history while marveling at the beauty of its rooms.

After 1 hour and 40 minutes of sightseeing, we'll set off to meet one of the most famous inhabitants of the Highlands, the typical red-headed Highland cows! We'll meet this bovine breed and continue our tour in the Scots Pine forest, home of the Scots pine trees, a tour full of natural landscapes!

It's time to refuel, we'll leave you an hour of free time in the town of Aviemore, where you can have a drink in one of its restaurants.

With newfound energy, we'll continue the route into the Cairngorms National Park, the largest in the UK. Here we'll fall in love with its mountains, rivers, lakes, and forest trails, with 5 of the 6 highest mountains in the country!

To finish our route, we'll stop at a farm where, if you wish, you can buy handmade local products.

Then, 8 hours later, we'll be back at the meeting point in Inverness and the tour will end.
